If you keep in touch with your Microsoft Windows Live (MWL/MSNM/MSN) contacts, you've most likely figured out how to connect to your MSN account via a Jabber server (i.e. here's one way). You probably established an account on that server and registered with the MSN service. Well that's what I did anyway. Then, when I added this new Jabber account to iChat, I was no longer able to log in to my Google Talk Jabber account, since iChat only allows one Jabber account to be active at any time. The same restriction applies for AIM accounts, too.

I recieved this message twice in the last two week. Sender wants me to open a check box and give my account number and other information, "to verify" my account. I checked with the real Pay Pal, and was advised that they had not sent any such message, that the messages were fraudulent. if they get your information then they will buy items on your account. I joined the gym and from the beginning there was a problem with my membership which spilled over to my bank account and Bally's making at least one debit from my checking account and there may be more if they don't correct the error soon but also now am dealing with trying to get the overpayment back to my account. more »

My son purchased a World of Warcraft account through Gamepal for $329.99 I found out after he lost the account that the sale, transfer, trade, etc. is expressly forbidden my Blizzard Entertainment, the proprietors of W.O.W. Apparently even when money changes hands, the account must remain in the name of the original purchaser. All they have to do is contact Blizzard and request a new password AFTER they have sold the account and take it back over. My son spent his hard earned money for an account and got ripped off. Repeated requests for a refund have been ignored. Avoid these gamers at all costs. more »

Well, it’s 2008, and I want to add my new address in Belgium to my account. Guess what ?

On March 15, according to Flickr, you won't be able to use your "old skool" id to log on, they want you to use a Yahoo id instead. I was reminded of this because I wanted to access my Flickr account on my new laptop. I'm now going to explain the problems I had (stil have) although it makes me tired to even think about it, much less write about it.
First, here are some facts.
1. I have a Yahoo account, dwiner.
2. I have a free Flickr account, Guilty Party, associated with that account that I created by accident a few years ago. When I log on to Flickr using the dwiner name it takes me to the Guilty Party account.
